Failures in wind turbines

Principia has carried out over 50 projects dealing with wind turbines all over the world, the majority of which were motivated by problems experienced during operation.

The more frequent problems analysed had to do with the connection between the tower and the footing or involved fatigue phenomena experienced by the different mechanical components or even by the main rack supporting the equipment. Corrective measures were proposed in each case for the problems detected.
